Artist Statement

My work is grounded in function, but aims to move toward abstraction and raw expression.
I explore light, form, and inner presence through clay. I’m interested in what’s revealed
from within—how light, tension, and fragility can shape meaning without the need for
language. This work comes from a background in throwing, a deep respect for material, and
a steady focus on building something honest by hand.
